Hi there! My name is Maddux Eylander and I am a virtual therapist at New Outlook. I believe being a therapist is a privilege and getting to be part of the growth and change that happens in the therapy process with clients makes my job SO worthwhile. I became a therapist because I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative the process of therapy can be from seeing a therapist in my college years. Therapy offers many things, and I want future clients to know that you don’t have to be in “crisis” to seek help. Often times, therapy looks like processing and working through the struggles of daily life.
My ideal clients are those who are willing and ready to put in the work and learn about themselves, as well as make changes when needed. I am open and willing to work with a variety of clients, but find that I am most passionate in working with women, college students, young adults and teens. I am most well-versed in areas such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, stress-management and trauma-focused treatment. I identify as a Christian and love to incorporate a faith-based perspective in sessions if that is something a future client is interested in, but want any future clients to know that I am comfortable and happy to work with clients of all religious and/or secular backgrounds.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to get to know yourself, process life and accomplish your goals. I can’t wait to get started in the therapeutic process with you!
