About

Hi there! My name is Angie Miller and I am a therapist at New Outlook. Let me tell you that I absolutely love what I get to do. I find it such a privilege to be invited into each and every one of my client’s lives to hear their stories, witness their strengths, and celebrate their wins. I became a therapist because I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative the process of therapy can be. We live in a culture that is so fast-paced, autonomous, and frankly, overwhelming. But therapy offers a space to slow down, process, be real, and work towards a more fulfilling and wholesome way of being. The power of therapy lies in the simplicity of being able to do this with someone who is wholeheartedly on your side, seeking to strengthen your identity and wellbeing as you navigate the complexities of this world. My ideal clients are those who are open to introspection, challenge, and change. It takes a great deal of humility and self-reflection to initiate growth in one’s life, and therapy is most successful when clients are eager to do the work– both at home and in the office. I love working with a wide variety of clients, but find that I am most passionate in working with women, college students, parents, and couples. I am skilled in providing trauma-informed therapy to those suffering from depression, anxiety, attachment or relational issues, grief, PTSD, and other disorders. I also enjoy working with those who are facing major life transitions such as graduating college, entering parenthood, changing careers, etc. For those who are interested, I identify as a Christian and am happy to incorporate a faith-based perspective in our sessions. This is completely optional, however. I am comfortable and happy to work with clients of all religious and/or secular backgrounds. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you for who you truly are. My goal as a therapist is always to establish a deep sense of trust and safety with my clients, offering a space that encourages curiosity and compassion for all emotions, experiences, and ideas that culminate into the wildly wonderful and distinctive person you are.
